Forgotten Password - FileHound Cloud 4.0

It happens to all of us - sometimes we can't remember our login password. Don't worry; here are the steps to help you when you forget your password.

IMPORTANT: For precautionary measures, please be aware that your FileHound account will be locked after 5 incorrect password attempts. In the event of your account being locked, it can only be unlocked by your organisation's FileHound Administrator or by contacting FileHound Support.



Step One: On the login page of your FileHound web page, click on the "Forgotten your password" option below your account details.


Step Two: Now enter the email address associated with your account to receive a secure change password access code.



Step Three: You will receive a secure access code via email; enter this code in the "VALIDATE" prompt. 

Please note that the verification code will expire in 30 minutes for security reasons. If you did not initiate this password reset request, please disregard this message and immediately contact your company's FileHound administrator or key contact for further assistance.



Step Four: Change your password and confirm it when prompted.



REMEMBER: When updating your password, make sure to choose a strong password that meets the following criteria:


  • At least 12 characters long
  • At least 1 symbol (e.g., !, @, #, $, %, &, *)
  • At least 1 numerical character (e.g., 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9)
  • At least 1 lowercase letter (e.g., a, b, c, d, e, f, g)
  • At least 1 uppercase letter (e.g., A, B, C, D, E, F, G)


Step Five: After changing your password, you will be redirected back to the login screen to log in with your username and new password.
