Installing the FileHound Outlook Add-In

The FileHound Outlook Add-in is designed for FileHound users running Microsoft Outlook 2016 or later with a Microsoft Office 365 or Microsoft Exchange email account.

The FileHound Outlook Add-In allows users to easily import attachments and email content from Microsoft Outlook.

Attachments and email contents can be selected and uploaded to a FileHound User/Group Inbox for review and indexing.

Note: Please refer to Microsoft for instructions on how to publish office add-ins using centralized deployment via the Office 365 admin centre

Installing the Add-in

For Users Running Outlook 2016 or Later

STEP ONE: Open Outlook 2016 or later on your PC or Mac and ensure that you are connected with your Microsoft Office 365 or Exchange account.

STEP TWO: On the Email tab, click 'Get Add-Ins' on the ribbon

STEP THREE: On the Add-Ins Manager popup, select 'My Add-Ins' on the left. Next select 'Add a Custom Add-In' at the bottom and choose 'Add from URL...'

STEP FOUR: Copy and paste the following URL:

https://outlook.filehound.cloud/FileHound.OutlookManifest.xml

STEP FIVE: Click 'Ok'

STEP SIX: Click Install if you receive a warning message to finish installing the Add-in

STEP SEVEN: The Add-in will now be installed and will show on your ribbon menu

For Users Using the Outlook Online Web Application

STEP ONE: Login to your Office 365 account on the web and go to Outlook

STEP TWO: Open any email and click the '...' icon in the top right of the message, then the click on 'Get add-ins'

STEP THREE: On the Add-Ins Manager popup, select 'My Add-Ins' on the left. Next select 'Add a Custom Add-In' at the bottom and choose 'Add from URL...'

STEP FOUR: Copy and paste the following URL:

https://outlook.filehound.cloud/FileHound.OutlookManifest.xml

STEP FIVE: Click 'Ok'

STEP SIX: Click Install if you receive a warning message to finish installing the Add-in.

STEP SEVEN: The Add-in will now be installed and will show on your ribbon menu
